Taped my foot and ventured back into the forest. First time in Lunsen for aaaages! Easy effort even though it was intervals, a little harder on the last when i ran with Johan and Olle.

Really rusty, banana-ed all over the shop, the worst was on #15. Felt really unsure sometimes, too, like on the way to #17 (the most Lunsen-y bit). Good fun especially running head to head in the really fast tallhed terrain at the end, we don't often use that bit of the forest.

trying to take as straight lines as possible. slow training, long day the day before... went quite okay apart from losing the line coming off the eastern bit (left side of the map here) and completely losing my shit on the penultimate (i started at the small depression near the top of the map)

fun control pick, quite tough to repeat 50 times. mispunched 15 (most things have tapes in) and some confusion at 25 and 32, which were both diffuse and without tapes. 28 was hard to get near in the green.

(not my gaffle - i took 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9 etc... One of my hard sessions, went quite well til the last control/finish, felt the pressure even here where i was alone to "close out" quickly and came close to Losing The Plot. Pleased with the feeling of moving quite okay through most of it. Relay start but alone nearly all the way as everyone had such different gaffling. Running time = 30:56.

Finally, i have made it to Guardamar for the first time! Four short loops with pause between to refocus. Dunes mostly easy to read at slow speed (let it slip at 10,23, 28) harder on the flat and i got distracted by trying to read all the vegetation features instead of just looking at the compass. Nice break last week means i was quite keen to orienteer again though :-)
